Several months back I was asked to do a one evening show at the San Francisco offices of Ogilvy, the PR division of advertising great Ogilvy & Mather. I asked Christine Hostetler, a life-size portraitist who creates stunning images with watercolor and pen, to put together a show with me.
The show went up last Thursday, and came together well (with a few minor hitches regarding transport of 4x8 foot drawings across town).
Christine and I both displayed four life-size works in addition to a few smaller pieces.
From left to right: Shao Yu, Guardian, Space Man O.T., Violet
From left to right: Kenny, Roberto, Elias (Background), Shao Yu,
Robert In A Chair. 100x50 inches. This piece is part one of a triptych I am working on for a show in Santa Barbara in Oct. Better images to come.
Christine's small works - a series of portraits of artists at work.
Finally, two smaller drawings I recently completed for ArtPad SF - exploring the same questions as Robert In A Chair, but at a much smaller scale.
